Giving for the holidays

Here at LFS we always like to give back to the community as much as possible. Over the past few years we have participated in Volunteer Fairfax's "A Celebration of Giving and Sharing" program to make a difference in the lives of Fairfax County's children. This wonderful program will once again provide backpacks filled with books and toys to elementary school students.

“A Celebration of Giving and Sharing” sends a clear message to children that they are valued – regardless of status, resources or ethnic background – and important mebers of the Fairfax County community. It is also Volunteer Fairfax's way of planting the seeds of volunteerism in kids. By teaching the simple concepts of giving and sharing, we are helping to create a new generation of volunteers, who will come back to volunteer as adults.
